National Conference: A National Level Conference was hosted by CSFC for the first time on 11th January, 2020
Resonance for Career Guidance: ` The career guidance session was organized on 7th December, 2019 by ‘Career Development and Placement Cell’ and SYBAF of CSFC. The session was conducted for students of HSC to elaborate on various career options after passing junior college across different streams.
Sanvitti: Our Annual Seminar and Workshop Series was held on 22nd February, 2019 with an objective to provide a platform for interacting with eminent personalities.
Shikhar: Shikhar is the annual Sports and Cultural Competition organized by the students of BMS for the students of Junior Colleges across Mumbai. The event was held on 12th, 13th and 14th December, 2019.
Chakraview: It is probably the only inter-collegiate quiz competition organized for the students of Junior colleges in Mumbai. It was held on 12th December 2019.
Iskra.Tech: The students of BSc.IT hosted their annual inter-collegiate fest on 14th December, 2019. The event included a Seminar on Cyber Security, which was conducted in association with Boston Institute of Analytics. This was followed by IT based playoffs like Blind Typing, Treasure Hunt, Call of Duty (mobile), FIFA, Counter Strike 1.6. All the games were designed to test the IT skills of the students.
Kaushalya: The students of BMM and BAMMC organized their annual arts and media fest students on 13th, 14th, 15th, and 17th, February 2020. The theme for the fest was ‘Game of Thrones’. The fest included games like Short Film Making, Radioshow, Theater and Photography
Techkriti (IT and Tech Fest) – On 31st August 2019, the students of SY BSc.IT organized “TECHKRITI ’19” Version 5.0 “Sign in…Shine out…”. The event consisted of two IT related rounds. The First Round was the Gaming Round and the Second Round was the much-awaited Treasure Hunt for the prize. This year’s event provided a great overall experience to all the students participating in the event. This event also gave an enriching exposure to the students. The entire planning and execution were done by the students
Navinnya (Presentation Competition) – On 1st August 2019 students of SYBMS A under the guidance of Prof.Komal Kharat organized the annual presentation competition for students of all classes. The topics of the presentation included Stress Management, Online Gaming, Spiritual Marketing, Brain Drain, Ethical Hacking, and the Growth of Media and Communication in the Modern Era. Mr. Nishant Patankar (Alumni and Marketing Professional) and Mrs. Vanita Vishwanath (Advertising and Media Professional) were judges for the competition.
Catalyst (Open Outcry Trading Activity) – The students of SYBAF under the guidance of Prof.Sabir Mujawar organized a mock stock trading activity using the traditional open outcry system on 31st July, 2019. The student participants had to buy and sell stocks to companies and earn profit. After one hour of trading, the students with highest net worth emerged winners . The students learnt the basics of financial markets through this activity.
Vaktavya (Debate Competition) – An intercollegiate event which was conducted by students of SYBMM on 29th July, 2019. Students were given topics for debate purposes by judges. Students were judged on the basis their intellect, presentation, and communication skills. The event provides a platform for students to realise their inner thoughts, actions, principles, and knowledge required to debate a certain subject.
Netrutva (Business Plan Competition): On 3rd August, 2019 students of SYBMS B under the guidance of Prof.Pratiksha Karambe organized ‘NETRUTVA’ a business plan competition for students of all classes. ‘NETRUTVA’ which means leadership which is one of the foremost skills required by an entrepreneur this event was organised to inculcate leadership quality in our students to become an entrepreneur and invoke startup culture. This year topics for business plan competition for the First-Year students was ‘Research Study for Startup’, for Second Year students was ‘Product and Service’ and the topic for Third Year Students was ‘Budget Plan’ for a startup. The judge praised the entire event a lot and shared his experience and inspired to do better. It was followed by the announcement of the winning teams
Marathi Divas: The celebration of Marathi Divas on 29th February, 2019 was organized by the Theatre Club in remembrance of noted poet and writer Late. Shri Vishnu Vāman Shirwādkar, popularly known by his pen name, Kusumāgraj. This event was put together by the students of FYBMM and Marathi. Theatre group under the guidance of Prof.Amie Moulik. This was followed by a cultural programme showcasing Marathi culture. To commemorate in the memory of the great Kusumāgraj a poetry competition took place.
Hindi Divas: On 25th September 2019 ‘Hindi Divas’ was the first event organised by the class of FYBSc.IT. Students had initiated an approach to make this event not only happening but a platform for everyone to be together with the same mindset. An artistic display of charts and poems of Hindi authors, poets, and personalities was displayed on the notice board.
Annual Day Celebration: The Annual Day celebration was held on 1st January, 2020 at Ravindra Natya Mandir. The function was graced by Hon. President of Chetana Trust, Shri.Shridutta Haldankar. The welcome address was delivered by Chief Co-Ordinator of SFC, Prof.Niyomi Fonseca. This was followed by speech by Shri.Shridutta Haldankar and Principal Dr.Maheshchandra Joshi. The theme for the year was “Cultural Fusion” to value and promote all the different identities working together. The students of all courses put up dance, singing and stand comedy performances that kept the audience enthralled. The students of the Theatre group put up a play, which was appreciated by everyone. The anchors kept the function lively and interactive. Prof.Taqdees Shaikh, Asst.Chief Co-Ordinator of SFC delivered the Vote of Thanks.
